Here is the silhouette I drew and painted on top of the mural.
The designer wanted to add more character to the silhouette so I threw paint all around it. Here is the finished mural. I was covered in black spatters by the end! It was a lot of fun.

This rust was created with Sunset orange pigment, Cabosil, Shellac and denatured alcohol.

This rust was created by sponge rolling on Modern masters paint and spraying the rust effects immediately afterwards. You can intensify the rust by spraying on water.
The brick wall straight ahead is a wall plug that was plastered and then painted to look like the walls to the left and right. I painted and aged the brick to look like the surrounding walls.

I aged the cinderblock with a dust age and painted scuff marks.
This look was created by spraying Iron Sulfate on the wooden door. Then it was painted with a paint-cabosil-sodium silicate mixture which was immediately sprayed with alcohol.

This had no option but to be painted in the rain. We had to use shellac and cal-tint mixtures and alcohol to achieve this look.
I was asked by Special Effects to paint one stove top coil to look like it was hot. Here is the final look.
